Job summary

Marsden South is seeking a Lead General Cleaner in Houston, TX. The role involves supervising a team of custodial workers, training staff, and covering shifts while performing standard cleaning tasks in a school environment.

The position offers a full-time schedule (Mon–Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm) at an hourly rate of $15.00, with weekly pay and opportunities for growth within the Marsden family.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years old.
• Must be flexible and able to work with our scheduling needs.
• Must have work authorization.
• Must have janitorial experience.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required for some accounts and a criminal background check is mandatory.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Custodial leadership experience.
• Willing and comfortable working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and any additional requests as needed.
• Oversee a group of custodial employees, train employees, and cover shifts.
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Interacts with clients and building employees in a respectful, professional manner.
