University Settlement Society of New York seeks an experienced early childhood teacher to implement engaging curriculum for children aged 2-5. Plan daily activities, assess development, and collaborate with the Education Director to ensure materials meet program needs.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred), initial ECE certification or NY permanent certification, and at least one year of teaching experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• One year of teaching experience with children aged 2-5 is required.
• Initial ECE certification (birth-2) or NY Permanent Certification or approved study toward certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Implement curriculum to provide positive learning experiences for children.
• Plan and conduct daily classroom plans, maintain observation logs & documentation.
• Attend staff meetings and Staff Development training/workshops.
• Assess the developmental needs of the children and plan activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with Education Director to ensure equipment and supplies are in good condition.
• Participate in Parent Orientation and Parent-Teacher Conferences.
• Promote sound parent relationships and support children with special needs.
• Maintain good working relationships with supervisors and peers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
