Qualifications

• Must maintain sanitation and safety of laundry areas.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and procedures.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and over a distance of 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily laundry procedures and schedules.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing staff when working in resident living areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary laundry areas and equipment; report any hazards or spills.
• Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling chemicals or infectious materials.
• Keep supervisor informed of supply needs and restock as required.
• Ensure that equipment is cleaned and stored properly at end of shift.
