Job summary

FLIK Independent School Dining is hiring for a full-time Food Service Utility at Norfolk Collegiate in Norfolk, VA. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–3:00 pm. Requires at least 1 year of professional kitchen dishwashing experience. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with benefits available.

The role focuses on maintaining clean kitchen work areas and equipment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards, and supporting banquets and general site operations.

Qualifications

• Previous 1 year of dishwashing experience in a professional kitchen is required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Washes tables, walls, refrigerators and other prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and sterilizes cans and containers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Loads/unloads and delivers supplies and product.
• Distributes utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Follows sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
