Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for a full-time Dish Washer at Thornton Academy, 438 Main Street, Saco, ME 04072. Schedule is 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, days may vary. Training provided. Benefits include free meals and uniforms; a comprehensive benefits package is available for associates.

Key duties include maintaining a sanitary dish area, washing and polishing dishes, pots and pans, and assisting with supply handling in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and chemicals and maintains safety and sanitation standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and ensures compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and cleans work surfaces and prep areas.
• Removes trash and maintains storage areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies and performs other duties as assigned.
