Job summary

Thompson School District R2J is seeking a Full-Time Substitute to provide classroom coverage as assigned when regular teachers are absent. This position covers a wide range of developmental age groups from early childhood to K-12 and may involve special education programs.

The full-time substitute works 8 hours per day with a daily rate of $160 and benefits including health, dental, and life insurance. Responsibilities include following lesson plans, maintaining routines, and leaving a brief

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain the regular routine of the classroom whenever possible
• Perform all of the duties of the classroom teacher, including covering extra classes if needed
• Responsible for the pupils, equipment, and materials assigned to them for the assignment(all materials and equipment borrowed must be returned to the proper authority before leaving campus)
• Leave a brief summary of the day's activities for the classroom teacher (summary may include behavior issues, special circumstances for the day, work that was done or not done during the day)
• Interviews will be help in-person at the Thompson School District administration building.
