Point Quest Group is seeking an Educational Interpreter to provide sign language interpreting and communication access in K-12 classrooms in Modesto/Stockton, CA. You will interpret in classrooms and small groups, supporting students to access the full curriculum alongside their hearing peers.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s communication and learning goals, with responsibilities including IEP participation, documentation, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or CHSPE.
• RID certification or equivalent (e.g., TEC Unit, ACCI Level 4+, ESSES Level 4+, EIPA Level 4+).
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of core subjects; understanding child development.

Responsabilités

• Interpret for deaf and hard of hearing students in classrooms and small groups.
• Prepare with teachers to review upcoming content and vocabulary.
• Participate on the IEP team and share observations on communication strategies.
• Support individual and small-group instruction under the teacher's direction.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality.
