Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time janitor to service the 3M location at Decatur, AL 35601. The schedule varies, with shifts from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Candidates must have janitorial experience, sanitization knowledge, and be able to work independently following a route card.

Willing to train and the hourly pay ranges from $14.50 to $15.00. This role emphasizes maintaining a safe, clean workplace for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Janitorial experience, sanitization knowledge, and the ability to work independently and follow a route card required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings clean and orderly; performs heavy cleaning duties including floors, rugs, walls and rubbish removal.
• Dusts and damp mops floors; moves equipment and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment; sanitizes surfaces; follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards to maintain a clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Completes tasks as assigned by supervisor; adheres to all federal, state and county guidelines.
