Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital/Merrimack Valley Cardiology seeks an Interventional Cardiologist to join a 15-cardiologist team in North Chelmsford, MA. The role combines complex coronary work with ambulatory care and 24/7 call coverage.

There is a nine-working-day schedule over a two-week period, and a strong emphasis on collaboration with surgeons, critical care, and vascular specialists for patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency, a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship, and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• Eligible for an active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration.

Responsabilités

• Perform Diagnostic & Interventional Procedures: cardiac catheterizations, PCI, stenting, and intravascular therapies.
• Emergency & Acute Care: 24/7/365 STEMI and emergency call coverage.
• Inpatient & Outpatient Management: pre- and post-procedure inpatient evaluations and outpatient clinic.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: work with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, critical care and vascular teams.
• Quality & Program Growth: contribute to quality assurance and regional cardiovascular service-line expansion.

Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital/ Merrimack Valley Cardiology is currently seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join a dynamic and collaborative team of 15 cardiologists (3 interventional cardiologists) and 7 advanced practitioners in North Chelmsford, MA.

This position offers a balanced clinical mix of complex coronary interventions, acute cardiac care, and outpatient consultations within a state-of-the-art cardiovascular center. Call for this position is 1:4 and shared amongst the team of Interventional Cardiologists. This position also offers an excellent work-life balance with nine working days over every two-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Diagnostic & Interventional Procedures: Execute cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), stenting, and related intravascular therapies.
• Emergency & Acute Care: Participate in 24/7/365 acute myocardial infarction (STEMI) and emergency cardiac call coverage rotations.
• Inpatient & Outpatient Management: Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure inpatient evaluations alongside an active outpatient cardiology clinic.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with general cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, critical care teams, and vascular specialists to deliver seamless patient-centered care.
• Quality & Program Growth: Contribute to quality assurance, clinical protocols, and regional cardiovascular service-line expansion.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Training: Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, and a dedicated fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
• Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• Licensure: Eligible for an active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is in the $450,000 range annually with an additional interventional call stipend. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
