Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Instructor (Nurse Aide) position in the Health & Public Safety Technology department of the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta, and at ATC's South campus in Forest Park, Georgia.
Under general supervision of the Dean of the Health & Public Safety Technology department, the Full-Time Instructor (Nurse Aide) prepares and delivers quality curriculum with daily instruction of students in-person, on campus and in clinical settings. This is a full-time position, and it requires utilizing techniques that facilitate and adapt to adult learning styles and demonstrates varying techniques. This is a grant funded position contingent upon availability of grant funding and successful performance reviews.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Responsible for the organization, continuous review, development, and the effectiveness of the program.
Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques.
Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures.
Maintains the course grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements.
Demonstrates the effective use of oral and written communication skills.
Follows approved curriculum standards and course syllabi.
Provide advice and counsel students.
Observe and enforce the institution's policies and regulations.
Assist with student recruitment and job placement.
Serve as the primary contact with the program's clinical partners.
Coordinate the clinical site updates, request clinical space, develop the clinical schedule to ensure students are credentialed and approved for clinical.
Disseminate the clinical schedule to the students in a timely manner.
Responsible for creating and ensuring all necessary clinical paperwork is graded.
Travel to clinical sites for evaluation purposes.
Evaluate the achievement of student learning outcomes.
Attend campus and department meetings as required.
Coordinate and participate in the program's advisory committee meetings.
Participate in the consortium committee meetings.
Assist in the development of reports and other requirements for the state program agency.
Maintain qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and Georgia Medica Care Foundation standards.
Follow rules and regulations as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and other policies and procedures established by the institution; and
