Job summary

Overlake Specialty School in Bellevue, part of Overlake Hospital Medical Center, seeks an Instructional Assistant / Paraeducator for a full-time day role. You will support special needs students, assist in IEP development, and work closely with the teacher to supervise classroom activities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with WA paraprofessional guidelines (2 years college). A Bachelor's in Education or Mental Health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate and meet WA paraprofessional guidelines (2 years of college credit).
• Bachelor’s in Education or Mental Health field preferred.
• Right Response certification within first 6 months; non-healthcare CPR and First Aid certifications within the first year.
• Current WA State driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and delivery of the IEP and collaborate with the classroom teacher.
• Provide support to special needs students in a classroom setting.
• Supervise classroom activities and ensure a safe learning environment.
