Job description

Summary
C.A.R.E. For Me Children's Learning Center is looking for a full-time infant teacher with experience in early childhood education and a commitment to the field. Candidate must be committed to professional development, reliable and able to adhere to the hours and schedule given at the time of hire. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.


Duties
  • Work with our team of infant teachers to ensure the proper care of infants and toddlers.
  • Encourage children to reach developmental milestones through interaction.
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience working specifically with infants and toddlers.
  • Nurturing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Must be able to move around the classroom quickly.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, get down on the floor with infants and toddlers and respond quickly.
