Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in Ventura, CA is seeking a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian to serve Ventura and surrounding areas. This mobile role emphasizes work-life balance, flexible schedules, and meaningful end-of-life care for pets and families.

You will provide hospice and euthanasia services, support families with compassionate communication, and collaborate with a nationwide team of veterinarians and mentors while practicing independently.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required and valid license to practice.
• Willing to work some weekends and travel to client homes.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with help.
• Background and motor vehicle records check will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Deliver compassionate medical care during end-of-life scenarios.
• Coordinate care with families and maintain documentation.
• Uphold Lap of Love standards and protocols.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in Ventura, CA, including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and surrounding areas. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $117,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $140,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
