Overview

Community First is looking for a Full Time Housekeeper to join our team at our Hamilton facility (Westover)!

Our housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas in a sanitary, safe, and attractive manner in accordance with established Infection Control and Environmental Services (EVS) procedures as trained and directed by supervisor. This Housekeeping position ensures the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation while providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule: Full Time

Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm

Pay: Starts at $14 per hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as directed by supervisor, including assigned areas.
  • Adhere to all Infection Control Protocols during cleaning.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum all assigned areas.
  • Perform cleaning from top to bottom, double-checking work to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Check and refill paper towel and soap dispensers as needed.
  • Follow protocols for soiled and clean laundry.
  • Keep janitor closets and supply rooms clean, organized, and secured.
  • Participate in all trainings, meetings, and in-services as required.
  • Report maintenance issues observed during duties.
  • Assist with packing patient belongings during discharge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, appropriate to the position.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses or Certifications: None required.

Experience: At least one year preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to operate EVS equipment safely and effectively.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving supplies and equipment, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills with courteous and respectful communication with staff, residents, and families.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
