Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean common living areas and resident apartments at our Avon community. You will perform detailed cleaning, operate laundry, and assist with upkeep to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities include cleaning common areas, bathrooms, apartments on move-out, and reporting needs to the supervisor. A flexible schedule, teamwork, and strong attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Previous housekeeping experience is highly desired.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Operate laundry equipment when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of supplies needed to perform duties to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Use only approved cleaning products and ensure storage of supplies.
• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust and clean window blinds throughout the community.
• Dust furniture and furnishings in resident areas and common areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Keep bathrooms clean in common areas and apartments.
• Clean apartments upon resident move-out.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality; follow all policies.

• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Operate laundry equipment when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of supplies needed to perform duties to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Use only approved cleaning products and ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all times.

Requirements

• Must be polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, coworkers, and members of the management team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.
• Must wear the designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
