Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated housekeeper in Avon, Indiana to maintain cleanliness of the entire facility, focusing on common areas and apartment bathrooms. The role includes completing maintenance reports, operating laundry equipment, and ensuring supplies are stored properly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Housekeeping experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods.
• Must be willing to wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain hygiene.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry objects for up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of the facility, especially common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings.
• Operate the laundry equipment when needed.
• Keep common areas and resident bathrooms clean; dust and clean furniture and blinds.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality; follow policies on release of resident information.
• Other duties as assigned.
