Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in a senior living community located in Avon, Indiana. The role focuses on cleaning common areas and resident apartments, with attention to bathrooms and private spaces to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests, reporting damages, operating laundry equipment, and following all cleaning protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Housekeeping experience highly desired.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be polite and courteous to residents, visitors, coworkers, and management.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust and clean all window blinds throughout the community.
• Dust all furniture, bookshelves, and other furnishings in resident apartments and common areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Keep common area and resident bathrooms clean.
• Clean apartments upon resident move-out.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow all policies regarding the release of resident information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
