Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Reno, NV and surrounding areas. This mobile role focuses on hospice and euthanasia care, away from traditional clinics, and emphasizes work-life balance.

You will join a network of veterinarians with ongoing mentorship and a culture that values meaningful care and personal well-being, while supporting flexible schedules and professional fulfillment.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• U.S. driver license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background/motor vehicle record check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes.
• Communicate with pet families and provide clinical guidance.
• Collaborate with Lap of Love network for mentorship and support.
• Travel to Reno, NV and surrounding areas for in-home visits.

*Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in the Reno, NV area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $75,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $90,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

• Availability to work some weekends

• Candidateswill be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
