The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated withNYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full time Hospitalist.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting.The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in education, public health & quality improvement. There is opportunity and support for professional development under these pillars as well as opportunity for movement into leadership positions.


Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility is ward-attending coverage of the teaching service.
  • Optimize the interest and skill set of the physician on services including non-teaching inpatient, medical consults & the observation unit.

Qualifications
  • MD degree
  • Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine
  • Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.We also offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation ranges from $229,000 to $292,000, including faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year, CME money, a generous retirement plan and opportunity for sessional work.
