Job summary

Core Linen Services in Oak Lawn, IL is hiring a Linen Distribution Technician for a full-time role. You will build, stock, and deliver linen carts to hospital departments, track inventory, and ensure access to clean linens across facilities.

The position requires endurance to lift heavy loads, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and timely service within a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull wheeled carts up to 650 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and possibly holidays.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication with hospital staff and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assemble clean, organized linen carts to meet standards and par levels.
• Deliver clean linen to multiple hospital departments in a timely, accurate manner.
• Retrieve soiled carts from all floors as needed, especially during certain shifts.
• Process and fulfill linen orders from hospital staff, maintaining communication.
• Maintain cleanliness in the linen room (sweeping, mopping, tidying).
• Open and prepare new linen for processing, ensuring readiness for distribution.
• Align and stage carts in designated areas for efficient workflow.
• Support other linen-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
