Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families, physicians and staff at Atrium Health Cabarrus. You will respond to emergencies, lead chapel and memorial services, and support ethical decision-making through Advance Directives.

The role requires a BA/BS, Master of Divinity, four CPE units, ecclesiastical endorsement, and 1–3 years of clinical chaplaincy; board certification within 18 months is expected.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in an accredited college or university.
• Master of Divinity or equivalent Master's program with certification eligibility.
• Four completed CPE units; ecclesiastical endorsement.
• Member in good standing with sponsoring faith community; 1–3 years chaplaincy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual care to patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Facilitates sacraments and religious rites as assigned.
• Responds to codes, crises, and patient/family needs.
• Supports advance directives documentation and ethical discussions.
