Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Sacramental Priest and Chaplain to support our mission of serving others through exceptional spiritual care. The Priest will provide sacramental ministry to Catholic patients, residents, families, and colleagues while serving as a Chaplain for individuals of all backgrounds.

This role includes offering spiritual guidance, grief counseling, crisis support, and care for those navigating

Qualifications

• Must be an ordained Roman Catholic priest in good standing with permission to minister.
• Master of Divinity or equivalent degree.
• 1-3 years of Spiritual Care experience, including CPE training; Chaplaincy or Spiritual Care ministry preferred.
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) standing is most desired or completion of 4 ACPE units and faith-based endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide sacramental ministry to Catholic patients, residents, families, and colleagues as part of the spiritual care team.
• Develops and participates in programs of spiritual care, coordinating with faith leaders across faiths.
• Assess sacramental needs and perform priestly interventions, especially Sacramental Anointing of the Sick.
• Celebrate the Roman Catholic Mass for the Catholic Community.
