Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus seeks a dedicated Catholic Priest Chaplain to minister to patients, families and staff at the Lafayette, IN facility. The role includes administering sacraments, Mass and other chaplain duties as needed, with travel up to 20% for system-wide assignments.

The ideal candidate holds a Theology-related bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), ecclesiastical endorsement, and healthcare chaplain experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theology or related field is required.
• Master's Degree in Divinity, Pastoral Studies or Theology is preferred.
• 1 year chaplain experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Familiarity with Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services is preferred.
• Ecclesiastical Endorsement is required.
• National Association of Catholic Chaplains certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Minister to patients, their families, and staff.
• Provide Sacraments, Mass, Anointing of the Sick and other duties as needed.
• Utilize keyboarding and data-entry skills to process information in a fast-paced environment.
