Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
  • Move throughout the checkout area performing standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to shop at Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Deliver SMART customer service consistently, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas or projects.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, features, warranties, and benefits of Lowe’s programs.
  • Coach, develop, and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Use a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per company guidelines.
  • Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates.
  • Supervise, coach, and support CSA Front End Team.
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls or take messages.
  • Open additional registers as needed to ensure coverage.
  • Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout turnaround.
In-stock
  • Prepare register area at shift start/end by checking functionality and stocking supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enter and submit customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign off on loading tickets.
  • Manage online orders and returned merchandise.
  • Look up product info and verify price matches.
  • Record store use items on the store use list.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Monitor cash amounts, assist with store security, and detect shoplifting signs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization following safety standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard notes.
  • Operate store equipment as needed per role.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
  • Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
  • 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
  • Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
  • Supervisory experience in directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
  • Experience in shoplifting detection.
