Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively greet, assist, and engage with customers, recommending products and services.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects.
• Communicate product and service information effectively.
• Train and develop associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
• Support front-end team with supervision and coaching.
• Handle security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed and assist with line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, including testing equipment and stocking supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter and process customer orders, verify receipts, and manage online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and record store use items.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and obtain safety bags from the cash office.
• Assist with security and shoplifting prevention measures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization following safety standards.
• Operate store equipment as required.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and supervisory roles.
• Experience with shoplifting detection.
