Essential Functions:

NOTE: Minors in this role may not be responsible for some activities listed below.

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise, and explain product features and warranties.
• Listen and respond to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects.
• Train and support associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Use cash registers to process transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Handle cash accurately and support front-end team with supervision and coaching.
• Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls, open additional registers as needed, and assist with line management.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and restock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Process customer orders, verify receipts, and manage online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and security, assist with alarm triggers, and detect shoplifting signs.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards, including safety equipment operation.
• Operate store equipment as required by role.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and supervisory roles.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.
