Essential Functions :

Assisted Self Check Out

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately.
  • Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time.
  • Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions.
  • Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, applications, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
  • Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities.
  • Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines.
  • Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities.
  • Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team (Front End / Loaders).
  • Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers.
  • Answers incoming phone calls, directs calls, or takes messages as needed.
  • Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assists in line vesting to facilitate quicker checkout turnaround.

In-stock

  • Prepares register area at the beginning and end of shifts by confirming functionality of registers and scanners and stocking supplies.
  • Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets.
  • Reviews and processes online orders and returned merchandise.
  • Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching.
  • Records all store-used items on the store use lists.

Clean and Safe Stores

  • Obtains safety bags from the cash office and monitors cash in drawers to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Monitors store entrances and exits, assisting customers or associates triggering alarms.
  • Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, communicating promptly to management or Asset Protection.
  • Ensures store cleanliness and organization in accordance with standards.
  • Maintains a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
  • Adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties, including safety cables, aisle blockers, and safety devices.
  • Operates store equipment as needed based on role and department.

General

  • Performs other duties as assigned beyond the listed responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • Less than 1 year of experience with common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferences :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in product sales based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, warranties, and product features.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
  • 1 to 2 years working in any Lowe’s store department.
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
  • Less than a year of retail experience in detecting shoplifting signs.

Pay Range for CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, DC, IL, WA : $ - $ per hour
