Job summary

Mercedes Benz Stadium is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to assist in daily field maintenance and the upkeep of the 40-acre property, including the synthetic surface and Home Depot Backyard.

The role involves operating a range of grounds equipment, supporting irrigation systems, and performing seasonal maintenance. Applicants should have a high school diploma; forklift certification and stadium/grounds experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school; college degree & stadium/grounds experience preferred.
• OSHA required forklift certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year experience in forklift operation preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate equipment related to the grounds industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily maintenance of the stadium field and Home Depot Backyard.
• Operate and care for field and grounds equipment.
• Support irrigation and drainage system maintenance as directed.
• Perform mowing, grooming, painting, and field layout tasks.
• Handle equipment such as carts, tractors, mowers, and topdressers.
• Be prepared for inclement weather and assist other departments as needed.

Position Summary:Under general supervision from the Assistant Head Groundskeeper, participates in the maintenance of sports fields, groundskeeping and related work as required.Roles and Responsibility:Assist in the daily maintenance of the stadium field, The Home Depot Backyard and stadium grounds.Participates in the operation and care of field and grounds equipmentParticipates in the operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems as directed.Participates in all types of sports field maintenance labor such as:Mowing/groomingSynthetic & Natural Grass Cultural/Maintenance PracticesPainting/Paint RemovalField layoutParticipates in the operation and maintenance of equipment such as:CartsTractorsP-Rex Paint removersMowers2-Cycle EquipmentTopdressersSkid steersFork liftsParticipates in Inclement Weather readiness and execution.Performs related duties as required.Assist other departments as required.Qualification and Education/Experience Requirements:Graduation from high school.
