JobsinED Ltd. is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for an outstanding primary school in Islington. The role runs full-time from November through July 2027, supporting a Year 3 pupil with Down syndrome and providing high-quality 1:1 assistance throughout the day.

You’ll collaborate with the class teacher, SENDCo and external specialists, helping with academic, social and emotional development. Ideal for graduates seeking SEND experience with strong mentoring and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• SEND experience is welcomed but not essential.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting a pupil with Down syndrome.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage communication, confidence and independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Support social development through structured classroom activities.
