Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a dependable Material Handler I to join our Kent, WA warehouse and fulfillment team. The role focuses on forklift operations, receiving, packing, and inventory management in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will handle shipping/receiving, use RF scanners, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety standards. This is a full-time position with potential for extension or permanent placement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution center experience.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Experience with shipping & receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, picking & packing, and kitting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely.
• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
• Pick, pack, kit, label, and stage materials for shipment.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Complete shipping and receiving transactions.
• Use RF scanners and inventory systems for data entry.
• Package materials according to SOPs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
