Job summary

Gordon Food Service Store LLC in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Full Time Food Production Associate to join our busy store. You will prepare sliced meats and cheeses, assemble sandwiches, juice ingredients for beverages, and support various production areas as needed to keep the store running smoothly.

We value customer service, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The role includes light lifting, adherence to food safety standards, and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sliced meats and cheeses, make sandwiches and wraps.
• Juicing and preparing ingredients for beverages.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Fill in other areas such as stocking, cashiering or other food production areas during down times.
• Use Rotisserie Oven up to 3 times per day.
• Cook chicken items using broaster as needed.
• Take temperatures of foods.
• Change oil in broasters.

As a Full Time Food Production Associate you bring fun into our store! No 2 days are ever the same - a great opportunity to learn and even greater opportunity for advancement!

What will you do:

• Preparing sliced meats (must be 18 years of age to operate meat slicer) and cheeses, making sandwiches and wraps.
• Juicing: prepare ingredients used to create beverages for customers.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Will fill in other areas such as stocking, cashiering or other food production areas during down times.
• Use Rotisserie Oven to cook up to 3 times per day.
• Utilize a broaster, to cook chicken tenders, chicken wings, or other chicken items, fish and potato wedges as needed.
• Take temperatures of cooked foods and cold foods.
• Change oil in broasters.
