Job description

The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, is currently seeking an experienced, qualified, caring, and energetic Float / Resource Teacher. The Goddard School is much more than a day care. We provide care and education for infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten, and school age children.

Our Resource Teachers are sometimes called ‘floaters’ because that’s what they do – they regularly ‘float’ between classrooms. Resource Teachers are very important to our school and support all the various ages and classrooms.

As a Float / Resource Teacher, you will:

  1. Lead hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
  2. Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their child’s day.
  3. Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

  1. At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
  2. Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree preferred
