Job summary

Plymouth Housing is seeking a Full-time Float Residential Specialist to support residents in our Permanent Supportive Housing program in Seattle. The role ensures a safe, clean building, handles front lobby duties, and collaborates with Housing Case Managers to promote housing stability and well-being.

The position highlights trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and strong customer service in a unionized setting, with shift coverage 8am–4:30pm, Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience and experience providing services to low-income households, families, and/or adults with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with tenants, the public and maintain professional boundaries.
• Ability to work calmly in a dynamic environment, including assisting individuals in crisis or with trauma-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate front lobby functions: logging visitors, answering phones, monitoring security systems, directing vendors, and handling emails.
• Collaborate with Housing Case Managers and Community Specialist to support resident goals and connect to services.
• Promote a welcoming environment and build trust with residents through resourceful, culturally aware approaches.
• Mediates conflicts using de-escalation techniques and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain building security and safety, monitor access areas, and respond to unauthorized guests.
• Perform light janitorial and maintenance tasks and facilitate access for contractors and vendors.
• Provide administrative support, document daily activities, and maintain confidentiality.
