Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. A unique two-person couple role provides care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students in on-campus homes, with nine days on duty followed by three off, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, wellness checks, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. Benefits include housing, comprehensive insurance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with at least two years of marriage.
• Spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one approved dog.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and potential van certification.
• Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
