Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

Flex Houseparents work on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and may transition to a placed houseparent role. Benefits include salary of $46,917 per person, comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement options,

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-spouse role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
