Job summary

Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC operates urgent care centers across New Jersey. The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care in an urgent care setting, perform procedures, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director.

Experience in urgent care or walk-in centers is preferred and one year in family medicine is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience; opportunities for advancement exist as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for RN license in New Jersey.
• FNP certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care including exams and counseling.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and results.
• Perform procedures such as incision and drainage, suturing, wound care.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate.
• Develop patient management plans and ensure continuity of care.

Position : Family Nurse Practitioner

Reports to : Medical Director (as assigned)

Summary : Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides urgent care to those in need for Atlantic Health Urgent Care. We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners for Urgent Care centers situated throughout New Jersey, particularly, Springfield NJ. Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience is preferred. One (1) year experience in family medicine and/or clinical setting is required. As a rapidly growing company, there are advancement and professional development opportunities. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment
• Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate)
• Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
• Willing to travel to other sites

Requirements

• License (unrestricted and in good standing) as a registered professional nurse in the State of New Jersey
• Certified by the New Jersey, Board of Nursing as an advanced practice nurse. Family Nurse Practitioner certification
• Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey
• Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice
• DOT certified, or willing to be DOT certified within 6 mos. of hire
