Job summary

Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in urgent care centers across New Jersey, including Springfield area. The role includes managing exams, diagnostics, procedures, and treatment plans, with emphasis on continuity of care and patient education.

Candidates must hold NJ RN license, FNP certification, and CDS/DEA registrations, with DOT certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an unrestricted Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• Board-certified as Advanced Practice Nurse (Family Nurse Practitioner).
• CDS registration with New Jersey.
• DEA registration with U.S. DOJ.
• DOT certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including physical exams and treatment counseling.
• Order and interpret diagnostics (x-ray, ECG, labs).
• Perform procedures (incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, wound care).
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate test results and follow-up information to patients.
• Travel to other sites as needed.

Summary

Urgent Care Physicians of New Jersey LLC provides urgent care to those in need for Atlantic Health Urgent Care. We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners for Urgent Care centers situated throughout New Jersey, particularly, Springfield NJ. Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience is preferred. One (1) year experience in family medicine and/or clinical setting is required. As a rapidly growing company, there are advancement and professional development opportunities. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations and the counseling of patients towards compliance with treatment
• Order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results accordingly
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management and wound care
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and, moreover, deliver continuity of care (including referral of patients to specialists and to other relevant patient care components, as medically necessary and appropriate)
• Regularly communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
• Willing to travel to other sites

Requirements

• License (unrestricted and in good standing) as a registered professional nurse in the State of New Jersey
• Certified by the New Jersey, Board of Nursing as an advanced practice nurse. Family Nurse Practitioner certification
• Controlled dangerous substance registration with the State of New Jersey
• Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration of the U.S. Department of Justice
• DOT certified, or willing to be DOT certified within 6 mos. of hire
