Job description

Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) is an educational non-profit that partners with schools and youth-serving community partners to provide students and educators with a rigorous curriculum for 21st Century Skills development.

Position

Full‑time Lead Facilitator – responsible for delivering and facilitating all ELA programs.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, facilitate, and deliver ELA programming such as CAMP LEAD, Pathways to Success, LEAD's, Career Leadership Academy, and other key programs, both in person and virtually.
  • Coordinate existing programs and strategically expand relationships with designated school partners to maintain ELA’s leadership in the field.
  • Attend to program delivery, typically 70% to 90% of the weekly schedule, traveling across northeast Ohio counties as required.
  • Manage classroom dynamics, track attendance, address inappropriate behaviors, and document student performance.
  • Administer pre/post assessments and develop timely program impact reports.
  • Build relationships with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate potential or current issues to the ELA Senior Leadership Team.
  • Prepare program materials, review and update PowerPoint presentations, and manage other administrative tasks related to program execution.
  • Participate in ELA training, professional development, and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with ELA staff on daily administrative tasks and special projects, bringing creative solutions and a positive mindset to the team.
  • Maintain a hybrid work model with typical hours 7‑3 pm or 8‑4 pm, Monday required in-person, and flexibility to work up to five days per week in schools or partner locations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or an associated field.
  • Passion for making a difference in youth lives and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Experience teaching programs both in‑person and virtually (preferred).
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and email.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
  • High energy and a positive mental attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain agile.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all student information.
  • Adheres to the ELA curriculum with fidelity, as well as all copyrights and trademarks.
  • Desire to grow within the organization (preferred).
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Must be present at ELA offices, partnering schools, businesses, or organizations to facilitate, observe, or assist with programming.
  • Travel by car up to one hour each way; requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Operate for several hours of facilitation, standing and presenting interactive material.
  • Lift and transport up to 20 lbs of program materials.
  • Work stationary at a computer for extended periods (50‑75 % of time).
  • For virtual programming, provide a secure, private, stable internet connection and work in a private environment.
  • Operate Zoom meetings and conduct ELA programming via Zoom.
