Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate (Matting Solutions) in Winnie, TX to support our service capabilities. The role covers installing erosion control, staking, seeding, and site restoration tasks, with frequent use of hand and power tools and strong safety awareness.

Travel may be required during the week or weekends. The position emphasizes physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and construction experience to safely execute on-site tasks and read construction plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write fluently (English)
• 1+ year of experience in construction and knowledge of safety hazards

Responsibilities

• Install erosion and sediment control devices
• Drive wood stakes into the ground with sledgehammers
• Apply grass seed, fertilizer and lime to work areas; apply straw blanket and straw to restored ground areas
• Clean track equipment, sweep and shovel mud and debris off of construction roads and right-of-way accesses
• Install T-post and safety fencing
• Install geo-textile fabric below aggregate installations
• Load and unload construction material and tools
• Spot heavy equipment while in operation
