Waterman Canyon Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. The role focuses on planning and leading daily recreational activities, while encouraging resident participation and engagement.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to support residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, or activities experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading daily recreational and social activities.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement as needed.
• Help coordinate special events, celebrations, and resident outings.
• Prepare and clean activity areas and supplies.
• Track resident participation and feedback.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other departments to support resident needs.
• Help create a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents.
