Job summary

Global Medical Response seeks an Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate (EMTI) for full-time duty in Dekalb County, GA. EMTIs respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, delivering high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, applying appropriate medical techniques, documenting patient information, maintaining confidentiality, and working with allied health and public safety personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State EMT license.
• State driver's license.
• BLS and NREMT certifications.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide patient assessment, determine needed care and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including communications, equipment, cleaning procedures, and office tools.
• Operate an ambulance in line with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
