Job summary

ALSTAR EMS is seeking a motivated Basic EMT to join our Jamestown, NY team at our private ambulance company serving Chautauqua County. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling and up-to-date equipment and fleet.

You will hold NYS EMT-B and CPR certification and perform BLS patient care, vehicle operations, and routine documentation while working as part of a dedicated EMS crew to deliver timely, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS EMT-B license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicle per Part 800 standards at shift start.
• Operate assigned vehicle safely during driving and emergencies.
• Transport wheel-stretchers when needed.
• Complete billing forms and PCRs promptly.
• Respond to assigned calls in a timely fashion.
• Maintain cleanliness of quarters, vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure safety of vehicle occupants with proper restraints.
• Provide BLS treatment per state protocol.
• Restock basic supplies and equipment.
• Function as a team member at scenes.
• Use radio etiquette and procedures.
• Take charge of patient care when ALS is not required.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
• Deliver quality customer service to patients and staff.
• Anticipate customer needs and assist as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
