Mauston Area Ambulance Association is seeking a motivated EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic to join our growing team. We are a private, non-profit EMS organization serving twenty municipalities throughout Juneau County and providing care to more than 20,000 residents. During the summer months, our population grows substantially as visitors flock to Castle Rock Lake and the many recreational opportunities our region offers.
Located along the I-90/94 corridor between the Twin Cities and Chicago, Juneau County provides an exceptional quality of life with abundant outdoor recreation, state and county parks, lakes, trails, and a National Wildlife Refuge.
Mauston EMS offers more than a job. We offer a career for providers who are passionate about medicine, committed to excellence, and eager to practice in a progressive rural EMS environment where critical thinking, clinical judgment, and patient advocacy are essential every day.
Mauston EMS is a Wisconsin-licensed Paramedic Service with Critical Care Endorsement. We provide both emergency 911 response and interfacility transport services through a close partnership with our local Critical Access Hospital. Our service also maintains a strong aeromedical partnership, allowing patients rapid access to advanced specialty care when needed.
Our rural environment requires providers who can think critically, make sound clinical decisions, and deliver aggressive, evidence-based patient care. Every call challenges providers to use their education, clinical judgment, and skills to their fullest potential.
Unlike many EMS systems, posting and parking lot staging are virtually nonexistent. Our centrally located stations feature comfortable crew quarters where employees can relax, train, and prepare meals together during downtime. We believe a strong team culture contributes directly to excellent patient care.
We invest heavily in our personnel and equipment, including:
Our commitment to quality equipment helps ensure both patient safety and provider well-being.
At Mauston EMS, clinical excellence is more than a goal. It's our standard.
We believe exceptional patient care begins with well-trained, engaged providers who are empowered to think critically and practice to the fullest extent of their certification and experience. Our progressive protocols and rural environment demand strong clinical judgment, decisive action, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Providers at Mauston EMS are expected to take ownership of patient outcomes, develop thoughtful treatment plans, and make sound decisions when definitive care may be many miles away. This is an EMS system where your education matters, your assessment skills are valued, and your clinical abilities are put to meaningful use every day.
