Job summary

Springfield Local Schools in Holland, Ohio is seeking an Educational Aide/Student Assistant to provide instructional, physical, and social-emotional support to students with IEPs for the 2026-2027 school year.

This full-time position offers a set schedule, Monday–Friday, roughly 7am–3pm, with Renhill training available and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Salary ranges from $15 to $16.50 per hour, with benefits including holidays, paid calamity days, PTO, and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Taking and passing the official Parapro Assessment is required for anyone who does not have an Associate's degree or higher.
• BCI & FBI background checks completed within the past 12 months and on file with the Ohio Department of Education.
• Renhill Group will assist with obtaining an Aide permit if needed; permit costs $25.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, physical, and social-emotional assistance to students with IEPs.
• Work one-on-one with special needs students in a supportive classroom setting.
• Support a set schedule of Monday–Friday from about 7am to 3pm.
