Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department in Canonsburg, PA. You will provide direct patient care in accordance with policies, using the nursing process to coordinate care for an age-appropriate population.

This role requires PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR certification, and background clearances. You will teach patients and families, document thoroughly, and may precept students and new staff.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or licensure via eNLC is required.
• Active CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73 as part of the onboarding process.
• Experience in an Emergency Department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and coordinate the plan of patient care.
• Initiate, monitor, and revise interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessments and orders.
• Complete patient documentation in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing teaching to patients and families.
• Support development of students, new staff and colleagues; may serve as a preceptor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
