This position is a prerequisite for promotion to E-Commerce Associate - 2 or E-Commerce Associate - 3.Major responsibilities Production:Quickly and efficiently process books and media on the Autoline Conveyor Scanning Machine.Place smallware, trash, recycling, and other non-book or non-media items in their designated areas as directed by management.Check the condition of items to ensure it meets defined quality standards.Maintain established productivity goals without loss of quality of work.Tracks production output as well as product levels and records on appropriate forms.Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner with clean-up activities performed throughout the day.Record assigned metrics and complete daily reports.General responsibilities:Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times.Meet productivity goals for the assigned role on a consistent basis.Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.RequirementsKnowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) is requiredPreferred QualificationsAbility to read. write and speak in English. Work environment is occasionally hectic with high activity, with great emphasis on teamwork.Physical RequirementsDue to the variety of assignments with this position a person must have the ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach forward and overhead. Standing, sitting, carrying, pushing and pulling will also be involved.The work pace is steady requiring lifting and/or carrying of up to 30 lbs consistently. On a regular basis heavier items of up to 75 lbs will be lifted.
