Responsibilities include teaching a 5/5 load (5 dual credit courses each long semester) in Communication, primarily the COMM 1315 (Public Speaking). Each class will have a max of 25 students, and each will be taught from a pre-designed course shell. The instructor will update course materials, facilitate engaging online learning experiences, and assess student performance. The instructor will also conduct core assessments and provide required documentation at the end of each term. Other duties may be assigned if dual credit needs fall below 5 courses per semester.
Please note that Sul Ross State University does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must have work authorization in the U.S. that does not require visa sponsorship by the employer.
Position is security sensitive. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.
