Work with stores and service center to ensure that stores and/or customers receive all items that need to be delivered. Support other departments when needed, including but not limited to assembling grills and other products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver assembled grills to stores and customers' homes.
• Deliver other items such as lawn mowers, snow throwers, and other home goods.
• Pick up items ordered from local Ace Hardware locations and deliver to customers.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Maintain open communication with all store associates, store supervisors, and Support Center personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a cargo van or box truck (CDL not required), follow route sheets, and use a delivery app on a handheld device.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education preferred; no prior experience necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
• Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in various formats.
• Problem-solving skills involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk, handle objects, talk, and hear regularly.
• Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Visual abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work near moving mechanical parts occasionally.
