Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City seeks a Driver/Dispatcher to support residents by coordinating transport and dispatching drivers. You’ll ensure safe transportation, vehicle readiness, and flexible coverage for events.

The role emphasizes independence and community service within Oaknoll's CREATE culture. The position is full-time, with typical 8am–5pm hours, Monday–Friday, and occasional evenings or weekend events as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Iowa driver's license needed at hire.
• Certified driving record must be provided before hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel is expected.

Oaknoll is hiring a full-time Driver/Dispatcher. The Driver/Dispatcher is responsible for not only safely transporting our residents and providing outstanding transportation and support services, but also for coordinating transportation schedules, taking incoming requests for transportation, and dispatching drivers accordingly. They are also responsible for ensuring Oaknoll Transportation vehicles are appropriately cleaned and filled with fuel for use, as well as reporting maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate persons. Typical shifts will be 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, some flexibility required to accommodate driving for special events in the evening and on holidays or weekends.
