PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Driver for Non-Medical Transportation to responsibly transport clients to and from program locations in a split shift schedule.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and maintaining vehicles, with a focus on high-quality interaction with clients and community members. Requirements include a valid Ohio driver license with few points, ability to pass a DOT physical, and high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass the DOT physical and maintain fitness for duty.
• Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to safely operate a commercial vehicle.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver license with <6 points and clean record.
• Experience driving for transportation services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities or other agreed locations.
• Transport clients to program locations and return daily using company vehicles.
• Ensure client safety during transportation and use of safety steps.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and schedule maintenance.
• Complete documentation including vehicle checks and billing sheets.
• Attend weekly training meetings and interact professionally with clients.

The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order.ScheduleA SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.Monday - Friday - Paid Time Off for holidays & Discounted Health Benefits availablePOSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company VehicleSafely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicleInsure all safety equipment is in good working orderResponsible for client supervision/supportResponsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.Attend weekly technician meeting for additional trainingInteract appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.Must successfully pass the DOT physical.Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of.
